- Open a New Tab: To find the right settings, start by opening a brand new tab in Chrome by clicking the plus sign at the top. β
- Customize Chrome: Look at the very bottom right-hand corner of the page and select Customize Chrome. This opens a side panel with all your layout options. π οΈ
- Go to Toolbar Settings: Within that side panel, look for the Toolbar option and click on it to see the available widgets.
- Toggle on Translate: Scroll down to the Tools and Actions section. Youβll see an option that says Translate. Flip that toggle switch to the right until it turns blue. π΅
- Start Translating: You will now see the Google Translate icon in your top toolbar! When you visit a foreign website, just click that button to instantly translate the entire page into your preferred language. π
