Have you ever been browsing a website and seen an image or object you wanted to know more about? 🖼️ Whether you are trying to identify a product, find a similar style, or just get more information on a photo, Google Lens is the perfect tool for the job. In this guide, I will show you how to add the Google Lens shortcut directly to your Google Chrome toolbar for instant visual searches! 💻

How to Enable Google Lens in the Chrome Toolbar

Getting this feature set up only takes a few seconds and makes your browsing experience much more efficient.

  • Open a New Tab: The easiest way to find these settings is to start by opening a brand new tab in Chrome by hitting the plus sign at the top. ➕
  • Access Customize Chrome: Look at the very bottom right-hand corner of your screen and select the Customize Chrome option. This will open a side panel on the right. 🛠️
  • Open Toolbar Settings: From the side panel, click on the Toolbar option to see the different widgets you can add to your browser.
  • Toggle on Google Lens: Scroll down to the Tools and Actions section. Find the option for Search this tab with Google Lens and click the toggle switch to turn it on until it turns blue. 🔵
  • Start Searching: You will now see the Google Lens icon in your top toolbar! To use it, simply click the icon, hold down your left mouse button, and drag a box over any part of a website to perform a visual search instantly. 🔍

Master Your Chrome Experience

By adding this shortcut, you no longer have to right-click or open new windows to find information about what is on your screen. It is a powerful, built-in tool that helps you identify images and find visual matches with just one click. 🚀
